10A Elevator pitch

9A- Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

My opportunity was music listeners not having access to a full variety of songs provided by their music streaming service. The second round of interviews really helped me gather a lot of information about my opportunity. Talking to people who had the need was very beneficial, but discussing the opportunity with people who are in that category but do not have the need was even more useful. I learned that there are lots of people who do not have any problems with there music streaming service because they feel like they have access to all the music they want. My opportunity is to give music lovers access to all songs. Some people think there is a need to allow listeners to access music for low prices. My concern is not the prices. I feel like avid music lovers will pay for their favorite music as long as it is not unreasonable. The outsiders need is to listen to music for a cheaper price and the need for my opportunity is to give people a wider range of access to music.

8A – Solving The Problem

1. The opportunity to provide music listeners with access to a wide range of unavailable music.

2. I would sell a service that offers the average range of music but offers the unavailable songs for additional charges. People used to pay for each album and record individually. People who love music would not have a problem paying a low fee for music that they love. The songs would be easily accessible and saved in the library with the rest of their music. People who love music would jump on the opportunity to listen to all the songs of their favorite artists.

7A Testing the Hypothesis, Part 1

1.     Music availability.

2.     Music listeners across the world have trouble accessing songs that are not offered by their music streaming service because artists have agreements that makes their music unavailable to some services.

3.
·      Who: I believe avid music listeners have the need to access a wide variety of music and casual listeners are ok with what is offered.
·      What: Every music streaming service is lacking the availability to songs that they do not offer.
·      Why: Artists have agreements with record labels that prohibit them from releasing their music on all music platforms.

5.     I gained valuable information from my interviews. I learned that there are people that are satisfied with their music streaming service and do not feel like it is lacking variety. I also realized that the situation varies between age groups. I believe that there are trends that people in different age groups use different streaming services. That tendency correlates to how content they are with their service. Aside from the people that are pleased with their service, there are lots of people who feel like they do not have direct access to enough songs.
