1.
2. The feedback I received was very constructive. People mentioned how I improved and was able to reach out to a more specific customer base. Elery mentioned that he thinks it would be beneficial for me to pivot to a platform that is specifically for small artists. He based that idea from his volunteering at a small music festival and thought it would be successful for upcoming punk music artists. Cam mentioned that I should end on a stronger point.
3. This elevator pitch was for sure the smoothest. I made sure to take the feedback from both of the other pitches into account. I finished with a more powerful statement that will hold the listener's attention. I also made it longer. I was much more comfortable and was able to recite it with more confidence.
2) A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch. Describe what stood out to you as important, what feedback surprised you the most, what feedback you think was outright wrong or silly or amazing and inciteful.
3) What did you change, based on the feedback?
Third time's the charm, as they say. I bet you find a few things different from the first time, including: (a) it's almost memorized, (b) you're far more comfortable in front of the camera, and (c) the pitch itself is better. If this is or isn't true for you, please include this in your reflection!
Bram,
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job using the constructive feedback that your peers gave you in this elevator pitch. I think you did a great job trying to hook your audience in by asking them a question about the way that they identify music and try to save it. I think that you should also express how artists are going to improve other streaming services from receiving this money to have this music on your site.
Hey Bram,
ReplyDeleteAt this point in the semester, I'd rather just get to the point and share some insights I have after watching your pitch. First, I would try to avoid moving out of frame (particularly your hands) because it distracts the viewers from what you are saying and thus, takes away our incentive to buy your product. Also, try placing the camera at a higher angle so the viewers can feel as if you are talking to them at their level standing up.
Hi, there! You did an awesome job on your third version of your elevator pitch. I really like how you opened your pitch with a question to the audience because it drew your audience into your presentation and provided a nice flow for the rest of your pitch. I think if you were to include a quick blurb at the closing of your pitch that stated a specific amount you were seeking from investors it could help end your pitch on a stronger note.
ReplyDeleteHi Bram,
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you when you say this pitch was the smoothest yet, it sounded great! I think your inclusion of the suggestions from the last post went really well also, I'm glad you were able to find some useless information in my comment. In the time since your last video another thought occurred to me that you might be able to use as well. I volunteered at FSUs radio station for a time in high school, and given the niche music that many college radio stations deal in, the people involved with these stations might be useful guinea pigs for your product, especially given the often close relationships that these stations have with local artists and independent labels.
